Abstract
- CMU 1394 Digital Camera Driver is an application marketed by the software company Carnegie Mellon University. Some people want to uninstall this application. This is efortful because performing this manually takes some skill regarding removing Windows applications by hand.
- The AVT 1394 Bus Driver eliminates the existing speed limitations of the original Windows driver with 1394b. The AVT 1394 Bus Driver Package contains an alternative 1394 bus driver that is compliant to the native OHCI 1394 bus driver provided with Microsoft Windows. This means unlike other proprietary 1394 bus drivers that are incompatible to the one provided with Microsoft Windows, existing custom 1394 device drivers (e.g. For hard disks) will continue to work with the AVT Bus Driver.
- DOHA, QATAR: A team from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) took first place at Quick Startup 2019 with their idea called VisKit. The idea, which the team developed during the three-day competition, is an all-in-one, dashboard mounted, heads-up display and mobile phone carriage to make sure drivers keep their eyes on the road.
One of the primary drivers of the Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is the congressional mandate to reduce the risk of accidental disclosure of controlled unclassified information (CUI). However, a full CMMC assessment can seem daunting to organizations in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), and many might not know where to start. In this webcast, Model Architects Gavin Jurecko and Matt Trevors reviewed several steps for identifying CUI exposure in terms of their critical services and the assets that support them. This approach can help DIB organizations properly scope a CMMC assessment and contain the costs of protecting CUI.
